As an Outside Sales Engineer, you will leverage your engineering expertise and sales savvy to develop breakthrough sales strategies as you showcase a "can-do", self-motivated spirit to ensure that we meet or exceed CCI Americas Oil & Gas regional sales goals. This role is ideal for a zealous road warrior who is excited about taking your sales game to the next level. Penetrating your assigned territory of the greater Houston area, you will be an ambassador for our products, building and sustaining relationships with key accounts, and act as an educator for your clients, helping them to understand the value of our engineered solutions and to get maximum leverage and revenue generating potential from them.

More About Your Role

This is an individual contributor role reporting directly to the Director of New Construction Oil & Gas Americas. During the first 3-month "breaking in" period, you will receive comprehensive training so that you can develop a thorough understanding of our highly engineered products, along with the needs of our customers (both design engineers and end users) and begin making a real impact.

At any given time, you will concurrently manage 4-6 top tier accounts and 12-20 second tier accounts as you expertly collaborate with Inside Sales and Engineering to assure processes and schedules meet customer needs. You'll be immersed in a collaborative environment where each of the Sales Engineers can seamlessly step in for each other's needs; however, the structure of the team will vary from one project to the next.

In a nutshell, you'll spend about 80% of your time in the field calling on customers; and the remaining 20% at an assigned office (or you may work from a home office) attending weekly sales and Quick Market Intelligence (QMI) meetings. Your principal responsibilities are to:
